Many (belated) happy returns of the day! Very suitable present for such a talented photographer.

I meant putting on the purple.

The porblem is that it is a Kodak.

Fisrt one was good (ten years ago), but this one keeps trying to act as though it is in fluorescent lighting when any amount of sky is exposed, putting on the green.

One can sort of combat that by upping the green gamma on the saved shots, but not very satisfactorily. I wind up mkang them B&W.

Re: I envy you.
If you can alter the white balance, that might help with the purple.  The delay problem in lowish light conditions also drove me nuts, especially at last Sunday's wedding when I simply could not get a good shot in the reception!

I envy you.
I bought my third Kodak (brand devotion now broken), and it keeps making my pictures purple. Plus the time between pushing the buttoin and the picture being captured is as long as an old fashioned powdertry flash.

never too late, TAPS!
I always appreciate it!  Also the kind if not entirely accurate assessment of my chances next to other photographers--of which there are many with better skills and equipment, I must acknowledge.  But I am looking forward to finding out, when I get home, how my entrees in have fared in the contest I entered last summer (10 shots of Washington State for my Credit Union's next year's calendar).  October is when the decisions on that are due.

Digital is just going to have to be good enough for me.  I didn't want to be a professional photographer anyway. (sour grapes)    You are just to good for any competition of any kind.
I don't think I ever did say Happy Birthday and now I guess it's too late.
