Re: Hi Adnohr!
Muley, I'm not sure about visiting down there in Miami. Vogue tells me there are some people walking around with SNAKES draped over themselves...on the streets!!! Yiikes! Maybe I'll just fly over in the helicopter...very high up....

Re: you succeeded in taking me
Oh, no! I wouldn't want you to feel guilty, Tzippy. It's a hateful habit of mine, being a workaholic, that I feel that way if I'm
not working. I'm old enough to know better, but.....

Yes, Merkie, we are extremely lucky to have these choices.
I admire anyone who can makes quilts. My deceased sister had talent for it. DO you sell them too?

What did you bake, auslander?
More of that German chocolate cake? Yum! That would make an excellent snack while reading....

Nautikos,
I am going to Detroit at the end of the month, armed with Muley's book list, to which I will add your suggestion. My friend, Suzie, lives beside a huge Barnes & Noble store there - it's paradise!!

Thanks, Sam - that's what I did!
Speaking of teams, I'll get to watch my HABS play this year, then join in arguments between my brother and my son, who are fans for opposing teams. I'm looking forward to it!

Re: I've been thinking of a perm. But I worked for these gray hairs,
LOL, Pat-B! I only wear those things around home now - my doggies don't avert their eyes when they see the result. I like perms - the kind where you wash your hair, shake your head a little, and are ready to go!

Re: Mmmm sounds heavenly!
I chose the book, Darson, with much encouragement from my friends, both Blogit and others. You have far more self-discipline than I do. If I start reading, nothing gets done until I've turned the last page.

I often look in on your blog - now I am finally beginning to get it. Slow learner, I am! Thanks for your constant encouragement!

Re: I hope that you are reading that book right now. Work and house work
LOL, Kabu. Yep - I did...and it took me nearly 2 days to finish it, and then I walked around in the 'period daze' for the rest of the time. It always takes me awhile to come back to the present when I finish a good book....much like getting over vacation...or a honeymoon, lol!

I love the vivid descriptions of your life. So entertaining and yes, hairdresser is a serious topic for us fashion plates!
I also wanted to tell you that you have company re: "Sweet Revenge". The president of the of the Amrican Food, Wine and Travel Writers Association (no less) read the book. She is going to write a review and called it : an absolute page turner and a great story. I am bursting with pride. I got myself two fans, but you were the first.

Hi Adnohr!
I hope you stayed home and relaxed. You seem to be a work-a-holic. My younger brother Steve is visiting me this weekend and catching up on the summer he missed up north this year. If you ever buy your helicopter, come on down and enjoy some sun and fun. lol

into your day. I actually felt that I was there. I love those days when I can lazy around reading all day, but I never felt guilty for it. I hope I dont start now that you mentioned it.

I know the feeling: I have three chapters in one book to read, two in another.... And just feel like baking! Which is what I ended out doing this morning until about 4 pm!

In case of doubt - read! Although I find little time for it right now, I just re-read Albert Manguel,
A History of Reading...Read it, it's a
must...

I say kick back and read! My day has been spent watching everyone of my teams lose so far! UGH! I am over for it is only a game, but damn, it would have been more fun to have seen wins! I am holding out for my Tigers tonight! They stand to lose the most and it would be terrible for them if they lose! Have a snugly book night! sam

I've been thinking of a perm. But I worked for these gray hairs,
and I'm keeping 'em. Although I did have a year as a blonde, and a couple as a redhead back in the day when I could wear sleeveless sundresses and halter tops.

Mmmm sounds heavenly!
I used to read a chapter, then go do some housework, then read a chapter, etc. Seemed to work pretty well...whenever I was really into a book I'd work on the house in twice the time, wanting to return as quickly as possible to my beloved written word! Enjoy, with whatever you choose!

What fun to have new hair color and -do. Makes once feel snazzy for a while. Are you tossing your head about flipping your tresses here and there to show off your new style?

I think you ought to stay home and read that book. Work is always there anyway, and you need practice to become the retired published author living inside you. Leave the housework alone too girl, read already and you smile while you do it luv.
