Hey Glen...
Complete agreement between all the commenters, and that too on one of your blogs, is this a first or what...hahaha, keep it up!

Great Post!

I agree 100%. I wrote a post on this incident and got blasted, from another blogger,  with having a problem with sex...lol. Obviously that person did not get what I was saying at all. I have no problem with sex but when it involves sex in the work place then that does violate rules. Does not matter if it was consensual, even though we all know why it was consensual. Letterman is obviously a very cocky man. He needs to be cut down a couple of notches.

GREAT POST!

Re: Ash Pradhan,

Hi my well-respected friend, I presume you're asking about my recent literary works...because I have a number of earlier technical published papers that even I find boring now :)!

Thank you for asking.

My book "Cosmic Reflections", poetry about life on our planet Earth, is coming out & will be available Oct 10th (see my post here last Friday).

Upcoming works, all poetry books, that are planned for publication over the next two years are: Rhythms of the Heart, about love & lovers; Nuggets & Pearls, snippets of wisdom; Resonant Relations, about relationships; and Random Walks, some of my life's experiences.

Btw, "boorish & condescending" is a very apt desription of L's style of humor...he might learn a thing or two from my books, unless of course Oprah endorses one :), in which case he'll be busy in one of his pissing ego contests...hahaha...take care my friend, you are one of the most literary, intelligent and well-informed person here...how about your publications? - Ash

Ash Pradhan,
What are some of your published works? I am curious?

Ash Pradhan,
I feel you have captured my sentiment as well. I stopped watching him years ago. I can also add that his comic style is boorish and condescending. I am only wondering who benefited from exposing his behavior by making this producer a criminal?

Letterman does need to learn to treat others with more respect...
he gets away with anything under the disguise of his Chief Comedian role...even causing personal embarassment on stage...I did not like his interview with Miss India, who was also Miss Universe...neither did I like his treatment of McCain...humor without personal embarassment requires tact, and he lacks it (may be I'll send him one of my books :))...anyway, I've mixed emotions about this particular incident though, not really knowing the other side's real motivations.

Joab3,
How about fear of losing your job if you spurn his advances. And how much is his responsibility? You are probably right outside that circle, "should anyone even care"?

David Lettermen Extortion?
Extortion rolls off the tongue so easily; so does exhorting.  My question which one is the evil twin in this case?  Should anyone even care?  Rutting, apparently, is good for ratings.  Methinks Letterman "bared" more than his soul, though.  joab

You have great points on both positions. I simply feel this was premeditated to give himself an out. Make David Letterman the victim. He could have stopped the guy in his tracks without this charade and without the authorities. He has destroyed another person's career trying to save his own ass.

I don't watch his show do I care for him! He needs to be punished for abusing his position, in my humble opinion! We need safe environments to work in and this one does not qualify for me! The extortionist needs to get it, too! sam
