RedStatesMan,
Your concept is so glaringly backwards there is no place to respond! Your Planet is painted two shades, Liberal or Conservative is my guess? Which means if I do not accept your appraoch I am doomed? I am actually left with the idea that you do not have an original idea in your head! You listen to "talking point" logic and come running here to spew. Let me give you the difference: when I hear Linbaugh, Levin, Hannity, Ingrahm, Coulter, Beck, et al, I think these people really think the rest of us are too ignorant to think, act, and defend ourselves. Then I ask, and this is key: what have they done to protect me and where will they be if I need protection from all these people "who want to kill Americans"? And I don't like the answer.

Re: RedStatesMan,
There is the usual ultimate problem with liberal thought on this topic. That being the comment you made about "breach of humanity". The one most important concept that a liberal forgets is that he is dealing with enemies who could not care less about humanity. Liberals sit around proclaiming they are 'progressive thinkers' and all that crap while not realizing your enemy could not care less about you, they just want to kill you. Somehow liberals want to sit and talk while the archaic ahmandinejahd's of the world are gearing up to destroy you. WAKE UP!
Sure I agree with a liberal if you could just sit down and talk things out and save lives but wake up to reality. That is not how the world has ever been nor will it be ever! Liberals are stuck in fantasy land. The pathetic thought process of blame America for starting wars is wrong and stupid. I guess we should not have fought in WWII, is that what you are saying? If the Revolutionary War was not won you would not be able to have just written this blog. Again WAKE UP!

Ash Pradhan,
I understand your point that "evil" is undefined. For example killing animals for food is considered ok, but in places where animal cruelty is sport or entertainment, culture and values consider it ok as even if we think it evil. That is a serious breach in our humanity. It is wrong to kill another human being, but our culture and values say it is ok if he is a terrorist (wants to kill us). As the dominant species on this Planet, we are a long ways from sane.
I think we must treat Nature as a separate force, our environment.

Our recent history is very brutal when it relates to the rest of the Planet. I am no longer certain that President Obama is a student of that fact. I see further chaos and destruction if he continues to pursue actions that betray his values. I keep saying it was easy for Former President Bush, I do not think he really had any core humanity.

RedStatesMan,
I too had to re-read my post to simply understand the purpose of your comment? I do not wear this label that helps others determine my humanity. We are at "this" point of human development because of our past actions. And I do not share your loose interpretation of American power as absolute. The notion that our military capabilities are limitless is not credible. We can select our enemies and their destruction is justified because we could, if we wanted to, kill them all. The sad truth for us is, we have a history of trying!

The trouble is...
the perception / definition of evil is not universal / unanimous. So it comes down to values.
A set of universal values must be clearly stated and adhered to by all who claim to belong to the civilized world, eg, Equality, Universality, Civility. The good news is, the world over most civilized people do observe these values. But a relatively smaller number make so much noise, and modern media of communication has amplified their voices so much, that it seems like we're surrounded by evil. Personally, I think the world is full of good people, it's a relatively few that tend to tarnish civilization, and looking around the world, some of them are even in positions of power.
Do I have an answer, a big no, but egotistical fighting between otherwise civilized people, such as even experienced here at times, and on major issues like Healthcare, certainly is one impediment. But I still wouldn't call that evil.
And looking around the world, I don't know what to call these heart-wrenching natural disasters. Just goes to show, how insignificant us egotistical humans are in the universal sense. Just the feeling of humility that that thought brings, in my opinion, should be enough to cut out a lot of the bull-shit that goes around us.
I'd like to see/read what the self-proclaimed pundits here and around the world have to say on that. You are doing a good job of shaking some their neurons into action, civilly :)!

I don't know about Rambo style, it seems so brutal; but, you are right, the evil must be done away with! I like the idea of it being everyone's responsibility for the President cannot do it alone! sam

Hmmmm....
I must read this again. It almost seems as though you may have experienced an elightenment. However, I am not sure. I am somewhat sure you know my thought process but hmmmm....have you came to the conclusion that it is time for liberals and conservatives to put down the sword and fight the worthless bastard enemies that only want to destroy the world? Obviously, no matter who the president has been in the past America could have eneded the world plenty of times but obviously we do not wish the end of the world and a thousand camels pee on your head and blood will run in the strees and all that crap.
So where are you coming from on this may I ask? Have you realized where we all are in this moment? If so then you can join me! If not then go back to where you were, lol.
