So true and so well expressed....sometimes I have no words to respond adequately to your wonderful verses. Your generous comments on my posts are indeed the warm and encouraging words of a friend; thank you very much for your support and friendship. Have a good week. Nita.

"That miracle, sent by G-d for our salvation... is a friend".
It is the somber moments of life that perfoce wrap you in the layers of self, for there is rarely even a simulated partnership in sorrow. A beautiful piece xoxo

Another oh so beautful poem. I was touched to read your comment on the Uncle sam dog, it made me feel again connected to home. Got my visa, now I'm allowed to stay 6 months per year for the next 10 years. Marta, I'm over the moon and heading back to Miami at the beginning of November. Meanwhile keep happy and healthy and don't forget to blow the occasional kiss at the ocean for me!!

Amen, Sweetie! I love this poem and believe it with all my heart and soul! I have been so irregular on Blogit lately! So many things going on! But as you saw my house is sold; what a relief to be done with that mess! I wanted to let you know that Shobana's daughter is living in Cuba right now! Small world, eh? Love you the very mostest, so much so that Mercury is smiling tonight! I saw it for I have my observatory telescope out tonight and it honed in on Mercury and there in bold letteres
SAMMIE LOVES SINOME THE MOSTEST!!! Can you believe it? Have a great day tomorrow my darlin' friend! sammie

Last evening I felt the need to call a friend in Australia.
Yeah, it was the right thing to do.

Good friends certainly are a blessing and make our lives a bit easier. Have a good weekend without any of the dark thoughts you mention in your poem.

Thanks for you visit.

And, from the other point of view, what a blessing it is to be in the right place at the right time to be able to be that friend.

Sometimes “those moments” can be both a blessing and curse. Reminiscence can be sweet but sometimes it can be painful and should it knock us off our game and leave us feeling empty, there’s no better and place to fall than the soft embrace of a good friend.
