As weird as it might sound I was lucky to be older when it occured. Granted it did effect me but the thing was that I knew it wasn't normal so I was able to get help. It just took me a while.

And I believe that there are good Dads out there; this just wasn't one of them. These types are the ones that can burn.

You are a very good writer. I have always found that my emotional pain has been a way to go deeper into my writing. And I have also felt that writing is a way to free up that pain. To expose the wound, let it bleed out and seep from me, and then the wound can finally heal. I hope your wound is healing. HUGS.
