It's worse than that...
It encouraged people who would have otherwise have moved to a city or a borough, to instead buy another car and keep their motorist lifestyle in rural sprawl. So much for there being an environmental benefit!

Those clunkers crushed would have been great cars for a lot of people. This whole things was handled in a totally unbusiness like manner. It was a disaster, just as anything will be from people who worship academia over knowledge, ego over experience. They don't know anything about what they are doing. That is very obvious to any who know.
I am leaving except to maybe post sometimes on political post, and to read. I don't have the time. It is not because of any trouble, just ministry work that is keeping George and I both busy. I will drop in on you often. Be blessed.

Duh? I'm saying that the net impact of the whole thing was a loss.....it only sold cars when they were being subsidized....we're back to dismal levels again......
