Re:
Elinjo - Hello, yes it nice to enjoy the festivities together. I had a Pakistani neighbour once - the husband was here on a contract here as a doctor. She makes lovely biryani rice with mutton...I simply loved it. Their food prepared is delicious and not too spicy. Thank you for enjoying my poem. Just a poem of a little girl I met and I just knew you would have a wonderful time at your New Year's!

I surely enjoyed being a little girl
(although sometimes I went incognito as a tomboy).

...a wonderful write -- brought back memories of my daughter with her Cabbage Patch doll in tow and her favorite Barbie doll sticking out of her pink purse as she tested the various colors of lipstick on my dressing table. Thanks for sharing. Peace, blessings and understanding.

Hello Shobana, although I'm not Muslim I should like to wish you the same: "Selamat Hari Raya Puasa". Yesterday evening my very kind and neighbourly neighbour knocked on my door and brought us some delicious Pakistani food. She always remembers me at Eid.
Thanks for sharing your charming poem with us. My granddaughter's reached the age too, where one moment it's Barbie and the next moment lipstick etc
.
Thanks for your visit. Yes, we enjoyed ourselves very much at our New Year Party.

Shobana
What a sweet and wonderful poem. It makes me remember my little girl, she was a girly girl and now my two granddaughters.

O my Shobana, I saw my little girl (woman, now) in your beautiful poem! She would be a great friend! What a beautiful portrait you have painted! I have not been reading a lot lately but it pains me when I miss one of your posts, so I put you on my blog list! Hopefully that is the string on my finger, otherwise please let me any time you have posted! I would be most grateful! sam
