How refreshing to find this blog ---
reminding me that I need to study the forms a bit more.  I write and have written for many years simply ignoring patterns, cadence, rhythm, and I like to be able to read bits of study like this and take what I need to hopefully add a bit more 'depth' to my gift.  I was just speaking to an old guitar player the other day and we had this similar discussion on lyric poetry.  Thank you for adding meat to my plate. ~Elyse (and thank you for visiting my blog)

Awesome explanation! You write extremely well!!!! I like the lyric poem for the poet must reach into the deep recesses of his mind to evoke that spontaneity for me! sam
