Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

- Go to Shut up, already! That's their verdict.
I know what you mean - I'm too long-winded, but am trying hard to cut down during revision. Writers falling in love with their own words, right? Liked Corbin's speedwriting comment, LOL!

I have the opposite problem when I write...I am overly brief and always
have to write more...it's easier to overwrite and cut than not, in my humble opinion.

I try to "practice brevity", but sometimes it's dang nigh impossible.

Pat
One reason that I'm not long-winded, except at times, lol, is that I hate typing. I'm waiting for the dictating-into-the-computer thingy that actually works! (I bought one of those a couple of years ago - useless!!!)
Until then, there will always be that barrier, the keyboard, preventing my pearls of wisdom from reaching the world...
A good thing Plato liked typing, otherwise we would never have known of Socrates...
