Can't figure it out either.

I know I don't understand it either. July was actually our best July ever. The other months have been too rainy for the last two years to tell.

If you can sit tight, economize and are not forced to sell property it's not too bad; nerve-wracking though. The people next door though have split up, and their place is unsaleable - so that is awful for them.

I have been able to survive! Just reorganized my priorities! It does seem disproportionate, though! sam

Nay, lustorlove.  It doesn't seem fair, I know.  My doc bills are definitely on my (horrible) credit report.

I don't understand this economy stuff either, except that it's bad for most of us. Reformatting computer - I got a Linux Mint disc (all Linux magazines have discs on them - choose Mint or Ubuntu, they're the easiest), shoved it in the disc drive, booted up from it and told it to take the whole hard drive. It did. I was up and running in an hour. But you do need to back up all the files and programmes you want to keep, onto a CD or something first. Good luck!

Re: Re:
You mean legislation?  Not as far as I know.  It would be worth looking into though.  There has been no open dialogue about it in the current economic/health care crisis debates.  At least I haven't seen any.

The economy is so intricate, it's almost impossible to understand.  I saw one blogger on here who posted about not being able to afford to "save money at Costco".  For a single person or a small family that's probably true.  For a family with three growing boys, Costco is a godsend.

We too went through a bankruptcy during the economic crisis, although ours had more to do with gas prices.  We also discovered after the fact that you can't include medical bills in a bankruptcy.  Seeing as how that's one of the most common causes of bankruptcy in the first place, this seemed like persecution of the poor.  I'll be blogging about that one.  Anyway, good questions!
