well I believe a good part of people hate their jobs and that goes back to the employer.

They will tell you that if they offered higher pay they will have to employ less people, it makes sense on paper but the irony is that the hand-to-mouth kind of pay means that people will never invest in their current job: minimum pay = minimum effort!

I quite agree. People are abused by big business who are only interested in profts. In the good old days of Cadbury and the other choclate companies (all run by Quakers) the welfare of the workers was of prime importance. I think that's why they did so well. You have to be responsible for your staff and pay a decent living wage.

It's just tough out there. Less people can afford
to retire. Then you have the companies that have
shut down because of the economy. Yes, it is
