Mason, I just posted on Raphael's blog, in response to his entry, my comments on the President's speech to our schoolchildren this morning. It was inspiring, and I've elaborated on my feelings in that response. Hope you all read and respond as you please.

Education is human responsibility for everyone...
kids AND adults alike, has nothing to do with anything else, especially race, religion, politics, nationality, economic status, etc. This in itself is basic educational fact that's been missing in a lot of places. So if anybody, especially the President of the so-called richest & most powerful nation, has any ideas about this basic fact that so many do not understand, let us hear him out unbiasedly, hold all the crap, and then later we'll all have ample time to debate & get educated. Good post!

Very good point Sam! ...and I agree ...President Obama is not perfect, he is a human being ...but at least he's making the first sincere efforts at badly needed reforms since Kennedy ...let's just pray they don't assassinate him ...because currently there isn't much of any kind of effective leadership to follow him ...thanks for dropping by.

...with the current merger... of Disney and Marvel... that might be a good ticket for the Republicans... Donald Duck for Pres and Spiderman for V.P. ...couldn't be any worse than McCain and Palin... thanks for dropping by.

I think it is a matter of who is making the address as opposed to what is being said! He is like Jackie Robinson, paving the way for others and he will take it on the chin until it becomes the norm! sam
