When cancer comes (or other lingering illness for that matter)
is when we learn the deeper shades of meaning in the word ambivalence. You know it's not going to improve, there's no going back to good health. And praying for the loved one to survive is asking for more misery. All we can do is pray for strength and compassion, and hope in some small way we've managed to make the journey just a little smoother. Give Queen V a hug from me when she returns. I'm so sorry she has to deal with this.

He did one good thing. He’ll be remembered in his daughter and fair sensitive son-in-law. Everything in the relationship didn’t need to be perfect. My prayers. BC-A, Bill’s RJJst
