Glenn...
and also on his "education" speech to the kids next Tuesday.       I truly believe that our education & health care policies have been flawed & backwards for decades, and now it's showing with Indian & Chinese younger generation pullig ahead. Our generation's pre-occupation with wars has truly twisted our core values and, unless we get our act together, our kids are going to have a much tougher time competing in the world economy. Your thoughts when you can please. - AP

Re: Ash Pradhan
Glenn, I'd be interested in your take in a post on the President's upcoming major speech next week on Healthcare.

Halliburton is the least of our problems. It is a criminal enterprise in the "Brown World" that does not affect our lives here at home (yet). President Obama has a clear mandate, whether he follows it is my bigger concern.

Halliburton is bigger now, thanks to Dick, who still has shares in it. Dick and current ilk are the problems!

Sam444,
It seems he will govern as "this" appeaser and ignore the challenges he presented as the foundation of his candancy? Have we been duped again? Stay well.

I fear he might be too soft on projecting his humanity. That is a serious character flaw. In that regard he is not Jimmy Carter. He is however suffering a similar fate: the people around him are not committed to justice and human dignity? Stay well, have my ear.

He said it was okay that we might have over stepped our bounds! UGH! Human rights are human rights! sam

I too have no specific answers at present...
course needed to be changed, and it is changing, but what the new direction will / needs to be is unclear, hopefully, more reflection / thought / time will help. Meanwhile, unbiasedly raising public's awareness is a good thing, as you continue to do, Glenn.

Their display of American mIlitary destruction has not served humankind. I would only want President Obama to be as adamant in projecting the alternatives.

Certainly the second former President Bush stammered on foreign policy as early as in his first campaign. Perhaps President Obana has already been compared to President Carter who I do like for his overall attitude. In contrast President Obama might do better to use his eloquent skills in public speaking with foreign leaders. I agreed with the foreign policies of the first President Bush that I thinl's awfully cool for his age, skydiving, and President Clinton. The latter got us in and out of the operations in the Middle East as well. Oh? BC-A, Bill’s Cyberspace  Hotlink
