Re: I believe we reap what we sow, but karma is based a lot of times on
Hi Ariala! Yes to believe in karma one must believe in reincarnation because they go hand in hand in the growth of soul. You seem to believe in the grace vs sin theology, and that is fine, so does most of the world. peace, mike

I think this is great insight and advice for the economy; but I really like it for just common everyday practice for people! I try to keep my karma even, I am not perfect but even karma reaps great benefits! The most notable, peace of mind! Nice post, indeed! sam

Re: BC-A
HI Bill! thanks for your thought filled comment. I believe the bailout money went to the wrong people, the stimulus money , and cash for clunkers are just gestures and not of any real help for most people drowning in debt, and the Health care reform is misguided.

I believe we reap what we sow, but karma is based a lot of times on
reincarnation and such which I do not believe in.  However, this was an interesting view

Re: Mal
Hi Mal! It is not just corporate greed we need to worry about, but also greed of the union leaders who are more interested in feathering their own nest than helping their members.

Re: Karma and humanity.
Hi Guy! You used a lot of words just to say you think I am full of sh-t. Karma is not always easy to see in action because it may take many many years to show its effect, but I assure you it does exist. Everyone always gets what they got coming sooner or later. Peace to you my friend.

For the first two seasons Earl in a NBC comedy series used Karma to make up for the wrongs that he did others. On the level of government will the bailouts, stimulus money, Cash for Clunkers program, and healthcare reform make up for bad economic policy in the past? BC-A, Bill’s Avant-Garde Collection

I love this post and I find you defining and explaining what I so often
seeformyself.I agree that it isn't a thing of instant gratification forawrong being enacted. The Roman Empire took hundred'sof years to fall. England created her own empire and exploited countless millions but now those same people have changed the English race and the society forever. Is it better or not? Depends on your value system. Western Society as a whole seems to need instant gratification so of course the people don't want to believe in Karma that won't right their wrongs immediately but I like you know that it is part of the way God works. Why else would the bible talk about the sins of the fathers down to the seventh generation.

I'm not so sure about Karma, but I do think that many top-heavy unions have outlived their usefulness.....Mal

Karma and humanity.
 Mikey,
Several times, during the past couple of years, I have revealed my opinions about what I believe and what I disbelieve, regarding spiritual matters. I would very much like to believe that those who abuse the trust or innocence of others, and those who throw their weight around causing anguish and harm, simply because they can, and how it makes them feel, will pay dearly for indulging in unrestrained hubris, and will suffer according to the degree of suffering they have intentionally inflicted. Karma is such a compelling concept, because it promises that true justice will triumph in the end, but I conclude that as often as not, it is injustice that triumphs.
Throughout history, many, many uncaring arrogant sociopaths have enjoyed the fruits of whatever evil they have done, lived long lives of self-indulgence and died happily and peacefully, in their sleep. We all hear about those who reap what they have sowed, because it gives us comfort to believe that the hand of a righteous deity dispenses rationality in an irrational world.
The ebb and flow of the tides of history, will always correct uneven pressures, fill vacuums, etc. that inevitably build up over time naturally, but on a scale that only history can evaluate. Human lifetimes are but a twinkle on that time scale, far too brief for retribution to be meted out to the perpetrators of suffering and healing of the harm done to the victims.
In my opinion, irrational faith that some omniscient guiding hand dispenses justice, righting wrongs and rewarding those who resist temptation, is only an overwhelmingly yearned for human concept, like Karma, serial lives, superstition, Yin and Yang, reincarnation, precognition, justice, religion, and time travel.
Take comfort in your beliefs everyone. It is how most people maintain sanity and cope, with an insane world. Believing as I do, I have no idea how I do it.
         Guy

Excellent post, Muley!
This kind of writing needs to be seen over and over again, so that people can become aware and react accordingly. It would certainly speed up the pace of developing more peace and love. A wonderful, simple explanation you have accomplished here!
