Children are precious and your poem is awesome.

I'm reminded of my son, when I'd stretch out my arms as wide as I possibly could saying " I love you this much". It was a fun time when he was very small and now that he's older, 20, he still makes me smile, just in a different more grown up way. And then there's the airplane ride when he was small....but that's another story...

Shobana...this is lovely
I have a son of 17.
Since he was 5 I have had to fetch him and send him off again at various airports.
He lives in Switzeralnd with his mom.
These departures kill me; my heart remains unhealed form the separation and I think his does, too.

It's interesting to see how our conversations with parents and children evolve.

This is precious. Sometimes I wish mine was small and I could cuddle her, but then we would not have her little wonderful son to cuddle and love. As it grows and goes it just gets better Be blessed.

shobana ~.~
This may tell my age (roughly)...but there was a TV show segment in the 50's -- "Kids Say the Darndest Things," hosted by Art Linkletter...and I always thought of that show whenever my daughter said something or asked questions, like the ones your children asked when they were young. I can truly relate to this sweet and touching poem. Thanks for sharing and for the memories. Peace, blessings and understanding.

I love the things that children say and ask when they are so serious.
