Re: some people just don't have enough stuff to do..so they have to find things
Ceil,
Please believe me when I tell you that mine is a very busy life, but an active, curious mind will never stop running around in that imaginary hamster wheel, especially when bored or on automatic pilot. When I walked through the door, at work this morning, the first words out of my mouth were, "You know, those dead raccoons that we all pass laying next to the pavement, all puffed up and ready to explode, like a rubber glove inflated and tied in a knot at the wrist?" The several people who had overheard my query, made "Mr Yuck" faces, then did an impersonation of the scrubbing bubbles, saying "EEYUWW!" and nodded affirmatively. Then I asked, "Does the first maggot to chew his way through the skin, to the outside world, get shot out of the hole he just made, like a bullet? Do you think that his ears go "pop," when he hits the outside atmospheric pressure?" Hardly thought worthy of Nobel Prize committee scrutiny, but the inability to stop thinking, must be apparent as being involuntary. My point is, regardless of how much one still has undone, waiting for your time and attention, his or her mind is cranking out unfathomal folderol, every waking moment. This is especially true with politicians, and those with authority over others.
Let's just agree, The FAA needs to hire a better class of workers.

Hi Naut! Just past through, ehem...lets say...ehem....a dozen security check points...tired and I start to really HATE traveling by planes...Too bad it would take weeks, or months, to get to Australia by sea....

I thought homeland security was looking for arms and explosives... last time I heard transexuals do not get their extra parts made out of metal or dangerous chemicals so why should their sexual orientation come into play? Maybe those HS officers where a little too curious... I think is a violation of the transexuals human rights to be singled out for body searches or anything like that based only on their sexual orientation.

Naut, the sage is right. You've got a lot of questions...
And funny ideas. I mean funny ha-ha, not funny strange. I'm not all that thrilled about being x-rayed at airports -- radiation is dangerous to any human body, gay, straight, trans, or otherwise.

Good post and o.k. I'm joining your 'Q' gender. Why are there 'gay pride parades' anyway. We don't have straight pride parades, why can't the gays just be gays and not expect a marchpast?

I don’t see what being a transsexual has to do with homeland security. BC-A, Bill’s Avant-Garde Collection

Naut, the officially recognized QUESTIONER!
Pal,
I have read much of your stuff, over the last couple of years, and I am often drawn to the conclusion that in many ways, we think alike. I agree with most of what you write, we can both see punchlines coming, (the same punchlines) before we should, and we both like analyzing (NO anal pun intended) reasons and reasoners.
I am usually uncomfortable around those who are TOO similar to me, my sense of humor, and my thought processes, but this isn't the case , when reading or hearing a comment from you, you know, something you wrote. It often sounds as though I wrote it, or was just about to. Deja Type! As is our habit, I wasted some time cogitating on this disparity, when our primary DIFFERENCE hit me like a bolt from the blue. I came to the same conclusion! You are a thoughtful man, with never-ending QUESTIONS!
I am the other half of the dichotomy! I am an insufferable, compulsive Sage, a thoughtful man with all the ANSWERS! Saw it comin' didn't ya? I knew that.
We oughta take our act on the road.

I'm glad I don't fly much anymore. It's not as simple as it used to be.
