The teller's intentions were certainly good, but I can understand the bank not wanting him to do that. Trying to be a hero in those kinds of instances can put others into danger, especially when one cannot be for certain of accomplices and things like that. I would never have fired him though.

The bank probably paid the guy to rob them.  Insurance pays.  Depositors don't.....Mal

We already know bankers are weird...
The guy who lost his job ought to have no trouble finding a job as a mall cop. Oh, and next time I need ready cash, I'll locate a weapon and head for a Key Bank...
