That is such a sweet story. I agree the doctor should have allowed a few minutes. One should always take time for birthing and dying. Thank you for your kindness. I have such respect for you nurses who give so much back in life. I have a stepdaughter who is a nurse and so compassionate.

Beautiful post.  It brings back memories of an adult son who sat for hours on the bed beside his dying mother who had not spoken for years.   He went through an old hymn book singing her all of her favorite hymns and holding her hand, on the day she died.
