Re: Time Forgotten

Hi,

Please tell more!  Are you a casting director?  Are you hoping to use one of your stories for "The Ghost Whisperer?"

Time Forgotten
Oh, God! Perhaps I could use you to cast some of my stories that I could use the services of late actors. I’ve had my eye on the Ghost Whisperer up to now. Seriously, interesting.  Good luck. BCA, Bill’s RJJst

Re: Montgomery Clift

Hey, Sam,

Thanks for posting!

Yes, Monty was on Broadway for 10 years before deciding to give to "go Hollywood" for his first film.  Actually his first film shot was "Red River," but his first film released was "The Search," which garnered his first Best Actor Oscar nomination.  It is one of my favorite films, and I especially appreciated that fact that relationship b/w Monty and the boy was realistic.  Ivan Jandl did a great job as the child actor.  Not cutesy.  Amazing as a child traumatized by time time spent in a concentration camp, and the slow development of trust with adults.  Likewise, Monty's slow evolution of trust and paternal instincts was a revelation and so unlike other leading actors of the time.

I can't remember the last time I saw one of his films! He was dashing, but his suicide and homosexuality were his demise! Although I do agree with his track record on nominations was excellent! I think his time on the stage made all the difference! I think others made decisions or at best influenced him into making some that hindered his career! Welcome to Blogit!! sam
