I certainly hope this is a joke.
Kids should not be wired, let alone pacified at that age. Their ears need to be open so their neurons and synapses can develop. And if they don't have that damn noogie in their mouth, maybe they'll learn to talk. Although I sympathize with parents who just need a dash of peace and quiet.
