Naut, by all accounts, the operation is worth the pain of recovery.
From the arthritis, there was no hope of it getting better, only progessively worse. He is still in the phase of reminding himself he volunteered to do this... but the knee is getting more limber and stretched every day. Part of the problem is that he bore with the arthritis for so long, he may never actually get full range of stretch back. But I am betting he will. What do doctors
know, anyway?

I have just been catching up with things here, and I'm glad your hubbie's shiny new knee is working well - I know a chap who's even jogging with his, and has plans for doing some serious running again...

TAPS, I think the humidity helps hold the heat in.
The best to be said for it here is that we don't ever have that kind of tropical humidity!

It's hard to imagine a place being so hot in the daytime and so cool at night. It is cool here now, but when we have three-digit weather in the daytime, the nights are almost unbearable with heat and humidity.
