Oh, how this brought back fond memories – in my 20’s a girlfriend and I did a backpacking trip through Europe and our adventure included that 18 hours ferry from Brendisi, Italy to Greece. We, too, sat on the deck imagining what the next leg of our trip had in store. (Guess his cell phone was picking up a satellite in the north in order to get a signal LOL).
