I love thunderstorms - and they seem to have become a daily thing. You describe them perfectly! We have had a lot of rain, even hail, so there is no danger of fires as you have in your area. Such a loss - all those trees.

Re: Merkie
Swimming in pools of perspiration if you go into the sun. Too hot to stay out long without an ocean breeze. Stay cool Troosha!

Theae are only fires in our area and the season is not anywhere close to over. Over 100F/33-36C temperatures Must be awfully hot on the fire lines! I hope things will stay calm for you! Thanks sam

It would appear the firefighters are making good progress but this weather certainly isn’t working in their favour. And today – if it’s going to hit 30 on the Island it must be bloody hot over there!

We have been so fortunate this fire season so far! I was glad to read the fire was half contained! We still have such a long time to go for the season though! sam/Shelly

Re: mariss9
We had a virtual cloudburst yesterday The eaves troughs overflowing in streams and culminating in hail stones covering the lawn. The thunder and lightening continued off and on all evening. The largest fire is now 50% contained but the land is parched. More thunder storms and HOT weather to come. makes for
awesome sunsets!Thanks mariss!

At least the rain came, I hope that was good, overall after the fires.
