Hang in there, you are on the home stretch! I do appreciate your frustration, though! Deep breaths and exhale slowly and you will succeed! I know you will! sam

Disappointing about the broadband speed
To be honest I've never liked Jo Brand. I think it's because she thinks she's so funny.

I just love to read about your week. All those farewells must be exhausting
How on earth will you cope with retirement. Oh I know you will spend more time with us. Goodho!

From the way you write...
...to my mind, the day you retire will be the day a whole, brand new and wonderful life will begin for you.

Iy is so natural to feel sad and hear the tinge of regret in your writing; but RR, you are so talented! Joseph Conrad didn't write his first book until way after 60 and I know, but can't remember that here have been others who have transitioned to wonderful lives after a life-time of dedicated and precious service.

What is more, those folks you ministered to you over the years will never forget you.

I am one of your fans (more than just a fan actually) ready to be virtually available to you as your new life begins - if you need anything I can do for you that is.

Meantime keep writing, dear!

I have 40 minute commutes to a couple of the car washes. Like you say it's not too bad with the traffic. With the roads being rural I've been stuck a time or two behind a big tractor.

Rocking

As Taps said, we’ve certainly come to reply on our computers, haven’t we?  Just curious – are you excited about your retirement?

It's funny what we can do without until we get used to having it.
I can remember fighting against getting my first computer and thinking, "What on earth do I need that for?"

Wishing you peace and energy during all these transitionings. :)

It is awful having to do without an internet connection, so I can understand why sleeping-bags and inflatable mattresses are a preferable option. All the best for the next days with all those farewell parties.
