Re: a good read but a bit long. You will find bloggers won't read long blogs
I am sorry to hear you found it too long for your taste. I would find it difficult to cut up what I consider to be a short situational excerpt as I am used to writing a few chapters at a sitting. That being said, I do pray these 'short' writings hold your interest long enough to read them through and leaving you wanting to read the next installment.

Re: BC-A
Thank you very much! Trying to tell the story as it happens but also the personal adult thoughts of Sam outside of the 'mommy' role requires a certain amount of dialogue switch so you know which 'brain' she is using.

Re: spiders are nice -- groundhogs are not, contrary to what Ariala says.
I, too, am an avid creature watcher. As long as they don't enter my living space, I will try not to enter theirs. LOL I love to watch them build, explore, hunt, gather. It is very engaging.  But I don't want them to crawl on me..hehehehehe

Re: sam444
Why, thank you, Sam! Mom's go through the most unusual things, don't they? LOL

Re: Aspire2Inspire
I wish these were my children! They are mine through my imagination, though! The curiosity and excitement stages were wonderful when mine were growing up.

Re:
Thank you! I tried to make them and the situation as realistic as possible so the reader could relate the story to themselves. Seeing the story and picturing themselves or someone they know that this may happen to.

Horribly realistic situation! Very amusing to read though! Welcome to Blogit.

very often but if you cut it into 3 they come back to see how the story ends. Good luck here and have fun.

spiders are nice -- groundhogs are not, contrary to what Ariala says.

I've watched them spin their webs.

Watched mud-dabber wasps build their mud nests.

Watched ants in columns go get food for their nests, etc.

your daughter is beginning a long road to exploration and discovery.

do you remember discovery?

Simple Sam - that's quite a day you are having there. Children remember the minutest details you tell them at the wrong times. They sound absolutely adorable.
