The opening line of this blog.

  Mariaki,

Sorry about misspelling your name, in my last comment. The opening line about being no longer happy, when it is suddenly necessary to become even happier, is remarkably close to my point in the blog that I titled, "What really killed Michael Jackson?" Isn't it a shame, that happiness is so fleeting, because people are so often inclined to keep being dissatisfied with what is, namely the state of our present existance. Why do so many of us always define ourselves as a "human DOING," instead of a "human BEING?" When is enough, ever really enough for us? Thank you for this posting, it says all that I wanted to say, but much better than I did.

The stories we tell about ourselves and others...... I want to let them go.

Great stuff.

How do you label yourself? How do you label others?

Be aware that any label is limiting. Labels stick us in a box where there's no room to move. Today, experience how it feels to let go of the labels to rest in I am. Feel the freedom, the spaciousness, the infinite potential of simply being.

"As long as I am this or that, I am not all things."

-- Meister Eckhart

A Quaker writer by the name of Thomas R. Kelly was quite a fan of Meister Eckhart and that was how I came to appreciate him so much! Another one of Eckhart's quotes I really like is: "As thou art in church or cell, that same frame of mind carry into the world, into its turmoil and its fitfulness." Then Kelly follows up with: "Deep within us all there is an amazing inner sanctuary of the soul, a holy place, a Divine Center, a speaking voice, to which we may continually return."

Peace and blessings,  Mariaki! Shelly
