For years I have bought organic eggs
Because of what is done to those sweet animals. You imagine what their life must be like. My four pet hens are very pampered by contrast. They free range in our back yard and I feed them all the food scraps and leftovers which they love. I see a poor animal like that and want to weep. Have people who do that to animals got no respect for the comfort and quality of life of the animals they make their living from?

Of course, after reading your article, I googled battery hens, and I'm sorry that I did. Reading about those places made me sick. Some time back I read about the slaughter of other animals. There must be some other way for humans to survive without torturing animals.

Oh my Gawd!!!!! That poor bird... Thanks a lot ... I think I will never be able to eat either chicken or eggs again :-( That is horrible... TERRIBLE!!! poor thing I had no idea I thought... well never mind what I thought... they, who ever is responsible, should be prosecuted for animal cruelty the bastards... and all of us that contributed by buying that poor sweet thing's eggs should ... I don't even know but ignorance is no excuse. Very disturbing
