I remember commuting to London in the seventies, when strikes were all the rage and every strike going hit the capital. It was horrendous.

Over the years we’ve had a couple of transit strikes in major cities in Canada – what a mess! And what an ordeal for all the commuters! It should almost be considered an essential service. Or the one that drive me nuts is when the postal system goes on strike only weeks before Christmas! Now that’s holding a country hostage….

Demanding a pay raise can be futile and frustrating for most of us. Employers react differently to various sections of employees. The less fortunate cant afford to be militant.

I think unions have had their day on this planet and to re-instate a couple of thieves isn't right but that's how unions are unfortunately.
