Symphony
This is an excellent post. It is true and would change the world litterely if people accepted the challenge of growing up, learning how to live and raising their children in such a manner. I have watched you for years now an you are walking that path. Be blessed.

Still? I've never blamed them - no point, they wouldn't listen anyway...

True.  If we can forgive others, we can go on with our lives and they can be better.

I dont blame my parents at all, I blame the way things turned out on the way I lived my life after the divorce.  Not one person can be at blame it takes more to mess things up

So very true Symphony. Past experiences and our upbringing plays an important role and if there is to be a change, it has to come from our inner being.

Very true! It can take a whole lifetime to come to terms with one's childhood.

At some point we definitely have to take responsibility for our own actions.

I feel my parents helped get me to where I am at today, but I am control.

I was raised by my mom only with the help of my grandparents
I just regret not listening to them.  I think I would have been better off financially.
