Go to the bookstore or library and loose myself, wander down a road i haven't gone down before. Sit by water moving water. Breathe. Good luck. Have fun.

Re: I read but I do tell you that I have tons of stuff that I have yet to

I read but I do tell you that I have tons of stuff that I have yet to
dredge up from my life so I really don't have a problem with writing as I am always thinking and mulling over past encounters and past experiences and seeing them in a new light and I face life with a new perspective every day when I awake.

I find I have the opposite problem finding the time and space to write.

Cheers and I hope you shatter the block with the hammer of creativity. Maybe take up Kung fu and learn some focus to center on a small thing to expand it in your conscienceless.

WOW! Thanks for the ideas, Sam!   BTW, I love your biblical poetry!

Re: Re:
If I am blocked on poetry, I read tons and tons of Langston Hughes, Percy Bysshe Shelley, William Wordsworth, Emily Bronte to name a few. I adore Edna St. Vincent Milay (she was her own woman!). The Holy Bible is a great inspiration for me; I read it everyday! I have taken words from biblical times and put it into my poetry! sam
