Well archie,
I told you in your last blog how you could repair a car that had the misfortune of inheriting Lucas electrics.  I only wish to reiterate my advice at this point.

You really will need to get those windows fixed
if the forecasts are right...  glad to hear about the album - it's such a delight to see records of a wonderful time

Except for Catholics and Anglicans, I don't think ministers in U.S. congregations wear such collars -- just shirt and tie.  I never saw either Baptist or Christian or Presbyterian or Methodist or other protestant except for Episcopal wear the collar.

well,
Check the fuses that are usually somewhere around the dashboard on the driver's side.  Maybe.  Do the limeys still drive on the wrong side of the road?  They might be on the passengers side.  Anyway, if it's a limey car and it has Lucas electrics be sure that you insurance is paid up and figure out how to burn the thing without having it look like arson.

I had a similar problem with a window that wouldn't close,

and it was raining.  Almost got it into the shop, and discovered that there is a button in the door that locks windows so kids can't operate them, and somehow, it had gotten tripped.  Maybe the same is happening with yours?

I know that heat when you have formals on and the perspiration and all but sometimes

dressing appropriately does leave a lasting impression...but good thing for the cool drink though.

Thanks for your visit to my blog and your kind comment.

I'm sure the electric window problem will turn out to be just a blown fuse and Blessings as you look towards retirement.

The problem with power windows, I presume.

My word! You were in an oven! There is a bitter-sweeting feeling to the whole affair! My Pastor's last day was yesterday! They are heading out for a six week vacation! Perhaps that is something to consider if you haven't already! I have great empathy for you in the moving! I am in the process! I shall have you in my prayers as your transition into retirement! You are a marvelous servant of the Lord! I am convinced He is mighty proud of you! sam

I didn’t think of the plastic. I find the collar interesting. The photos of the history of our church on a couple of anniversaries looked awesome. BCA, BillJRoost
