Vogue
I love the part about his love for the ‘woman with the green eyes”.  But I’m a sucker for romantic intrigue.  Great article (and no, I had never heard of hime).

vogue, thanks for another wonderful peek into Turkey.
I linked to it for my niece, Leila, and my sister-in-law, Debbie, who are both, separately, visiting Turkey right now. Leila, a psychologist, loves a fellow, a nuclear physicist, from there and is meeting his family for the first time and Dr. Debbie is there in a conference with her employers, they develop and create school math software, etc.

They will love your piece as I did.

Their major complaint is that all the lovely cafes within their view are full of men and that there is nowhere for them to just go sit and stare at beautiful views, alone and as women.

That can be another article for you to write, what women can do in Turkey, without a man always there at their side, not an easy thing, I'm thinking, but independent you should be the expert.

Isn't it great that we both learn as well as unload our thoughts and
feelings here?

Vogue, I feel like a world-traveller....
reading your writing and viewing palces online that I would never otherwise know about.  I lvoe it.  Pierre and the green-eyed beauty that mesmerized him took great risks meeting the way they did, but as smitten as he was and she became, I suppose they counted their encounters worth it all.  Thanks for shaing my friend!

I just read the article, and I felt compelled to comment on it.  What a concise and well written account you have put together!  Midnight rendezvous and forbidden love, how romantic!  Thanks so much for sharing, I just love finding things off the beaten path like that.
