Re: Yellowrose55
Very true... the old jazz has a very rich inspiring tone, it's difficult not to be inspired by it sometimes

Re: sam444
Thank you Sam, I am a little proud of this one and I really felt it was a little more special than my usual work, but I really wanted some more opinions on that -  I am considering using this one as a competition piece and wanted a few unbiaesed eyes to read it.

You had me at the first paragraph :-) An amazing poem...  I was there!  I felt the sensual ambiance and heard the mellow music... watched you surrender to her eyes... Your words  brought it all to me with such force that I forgot to breathe as I was reading them :-)  I literally held my breath till the last verse was done.  Suzy said it... delicious , but I would ad intoxicating... for like a good wine it seized my senses and I'm sure will linger in my mind long after today.   Bravo!

Sue's comment is too precious! Astonishing, I hope you are proud and delighted with yourself on this poem! It is absolutely wonderful! I read it three times, I could have read it more it is so good! I liked the weaving of the sounds, even to the point of an echo! The similes were so apropos, too! I was touched on all my senses, perhaps delicious is an awesome term! I think what I was most taken with was the perfect weaving of all the nuances of the evening you so exquisitely painted! My hat is tipped! Well constructed indeed! Fabulous imagery! sam  I am happy to read your work any time, never hesitate to ask!
