Re: Re: Re: I don't think you understand men who lose their spouses to death.
age has nothing to do with the need for sex, I am 65 and I need it, some other ladies at 65 could care less, my friend is 70 and said it never has matter to her. Thank you for your good wishes

It seems to me that in some way or other sexuality continues to play a part in our lives irrespective of how old we are. Good luck to you Lustorlove, I hope it works out for you both.

I have seen so many highly successful second marriages, sometimes after divorce, sometimes after a bereavement and sometimes a mixture of the two. Listen to your instincts and follow them - this could be exactly right for you, only you (and he) can tell. I hope it works out as you wish.

I agree with you, but depends on the older man, older men also seek sexual gratification before anything else, age really doesnt have that much to do with it

Re:
I think it would be easier to have a ex-spouse die, then divorce as at least they are gone and not around

I don't think you understand men who lose their spouses to death.
You mention that the reason men remarry earlier than women is the need for sexual gratification. That might be true for those who are maybe 25. But, for older men, I think it is more for companionship and somebody to give their home and life a female's touch.

I can certainly see how a divorce could have be more detrimental to relationships.

I think the slower the better! Get to know one another! Grow into love as opposed to falling into love! It could be a wonderful loving friendship too! I say enjoy this time and nurture it! sam
