ash_pradhan - it will take more than a comment to first outline the issues

and then offer credible references for each point.

I will do it in a post.

Gome, could you please cite a couple of credible references for me to get some familiarity with the topics and issues, thank you,

Xeno-x - we've seen some folks right here on Blogit have their arguments completely overturned but carry on with the same old arguments anyways. It is an unhealthy state of mind to perpetually deny reality in as a means of upholding religious beliefs. The beliefs at that point become nothing more than a delusion.

what bothers me is that in face of the overwhelming evidence to the contray

TAPS. - and there should be no issue
Any belief that is reliant upon ignoring indisputable facts, is no longer a belief but instead a delusion.

kooka_lives - Re: One interesting fact on this all

Of those who have stopped in here to argue with me over evolution, they seem to all be adhering to a patented formula. Their problems begin with an overwhelming desire for what they say to be true. This motivation is fortified by the "church version" of what evolution actually entails and a belief derived from this erroneous version that evolution challenges the existence of their God.

With this mindset, liberally sprinkled with heavy doses of industrial duty brainwashing, they follow an almost rigidly defined path to their conclusions (if you can call them that). They discredit science, they focus on the difficult areas of science, they cling to half truths, deny or ignore anything that does not support their argument and they make up their own truths as needed. One such made up truth is the one you allude to about scientists proclaiming that creationism makes more sense than evolution.

A recent internet article claimed that "700 PHD scientists" backed creationism, conveniently leaving out a few facts. Such as that not one of the PHD scientists held their doctorate in a related discipline, most of them were doctors of theology and their numbers are an insignificant percentage of all doctorates in this part of the world.

ash_pradhan - most of the discussion of creationism versus evolution has

taken place on the blogs of others.

Quite often, the arguments and refutations are so laden with misconceptions, erroneous statements and blatant ignorance that they are hard to read. For me there is no discussion, the fact that some people feel evolution is at complete odds with their religious beliefs, I view as entirely their problem. A problem that could be cured with a little education, if they so chose.

It is only an issue to he (she) who makes it one.

One interesting fact on this all
I am sure you keep seeing all the claims about how many scientists are going and claiming that creationism makes more sense than evolution.  Well the majority of those 'scientists' are engineers, not biologists or paleontologists or any of those who actually study and understand evolution as their primary area of science.

And even with this new undeniable evidence, those who wish to follow the engineers and preachers are going to blindly follow them and come up with whatever load of BS nonsense the godbots want to spit out and claim that the evidence is nothing but Satan's manipulations to get us all damned to Hell.  And some how that will be all the logic and reasoning they need to dispute this.

Gome,
I'm not that familiar with those topics and would be interested in your take on 'em if you get around to posting on 'em again. Best,
