Interesting post and discussion. Perception is key.

I have heard of people losing their homes every year of my life. Someone loses a job everyday. Things have been made much worse and intentionally so.

How hard is it for some people to really get the truth?

Justi......
In spite of what you see and hear on the news........How many people do you personally know that has had a home foreclosed on......or lost their job?    The independents and goo-goo eyed people that drank the Kool-Aid and  then signed on the the hopey-changy thing will have to  feel some real pain.     But the tea parties are a good way to fan the fires.   I plan on going to DC on Sept 12th for the national 912 tea party on the Capitol Mall......

There are actually many simpler more effective methods to make this work.

we don't need no banks
gov't shouldn't stepped in to bail ouit anybody so that we have the greatest depression in history.

but Mr. Obama did step in -- and you who are so ungrateful -- what would have happened if he hadn't?

lose banks, lose homes, auto industry go under, record unemployment and poverty, etc.

the biggest question is how would any of these entities have survived were it not for gov't bailout $$$?

Your friendly neighborhood President-Man. On the one hand I hope that it works out. On the other hand I hope that the automobile industry will return to the private sector of our economy as soon as possible. In this way I only support healthcare in a mixed economy.  BCA, Bill*s Roost

Re: I'll drink to that....

Texas Gem, good to see another from Texas. We may disagree in certain areas but like most in this country if we were to ever sat down and have a face to face I feel we would find we do agree on a great deal.

One example of our disagreement is that I do like the current President but we, as free men, have that right to disagree.

And I must admit I like sweetened tea, although Dr. Pepper is my favorite. A Texas thing you know.

I do agree with you concerning keeping our faith. Faith is a powerful thing.

My Best to you,

I like the idea of a bike! It would be so good for the environment! I have an antique Firestone three wheeler I am restoring and it is a blast to ride! We are in fretful times! I am perplexed as to how this is going to play out! Just when one thinks it can't get any worse, it surely does! Have a great day! sam

Well luv, a politician is an animal who can sit on a fence and yet keep both ears to the ground and that's good, 'cuz they all fall off the fence at some point and land on their heads.-;) Don't worry luv, be happy and love to you and George

Actually. ., if you think about it. . , purchasing one of the gas guzzlers
right now would be an excellent investment.  They will become collectors items that everybody wants in a few years!!

I smile real big when you spoke of the little hangers to put your kids up on when the car got a bit full.  Too funny. . , I could just see that in my mind!

Thank you so much for this comment. It is true line upon line precept upon precept they are sliding right into place. We need more old fashioned prayer meetings. Yes I'll join you in a glass of unsweet Ice Tea with a leaf or two of Lemon Balm.

I'll drink to that....
Cold unsweet ice tea is my favorite. My favorite president is not in the White House this term.  Justi, as we compare scripture to the news, we find signs of the time being fulfilled. We must buckle our seatbelts and remain faithful to our God Who will bring this dispensation of grace to an abrupt end.  It could be sooner than we think.  Bless you my friend!
