You are forgiven. I am forgiven. We are forgiven - for all our mistakes, failures, sins, shortcomings, present-day weaknesses ----

we are forgiven EVERYTHING past, present and future even!!!!....

 You said: Maybe we need to think differently. Yes, we do.

 You say that we are bound to the relationships and mistakes of the past.

 To be free, you need to think about this in a new way. Those past relationships and mistakes are NO LONGER THERE in your daily life except in one way: IN YOUR MEMORY.

 But in the present moment of today's reality, the sun is shining, the sky is blue, you are forgiven and God loves you!

 You must therefore dwell on that reality (DWELL IN ME, AS I DWELL IN YOU) - and NOT on the memories of the past.

 Of course they come up...but give them immediately to God and KNOW that HE knows and has forgiven you for all that. You want to do what God wants, don't you?

 As I do. And Jesus told those who asked him "How should we work as God would have us work." Jesus answered, "This is the work of God. Believe in him who He has sent."

 In short, you are stuck because you are focusing on the wrong reality. The now, true, liberating reality is that God loves you and you are saved. Focus on that and start letting the memories GO...

 Like me, like all of us, we may always have these memories...but they must STOP ruling your life, because they DONT. They are just imagination - they are no longer real; so why indulge them.

 "Give me you heart, and I will give you my eyes" says God. That is what you need to do. See things His way and believe in the good news.

 Your bindings are not real. Only imaginary! Turn to God and be free!!
