Re: He only admitted to hitting the dog. He may very well . . ,
there did appear a bruise after he hit her and she seems pretty cowardly now and treats him differently.  My daughter really laid into him and is now afraid to leave her dogs alone with him.  I told her if she feels this way maybe she shouldnt be with him no real response was her answer

He only admitted to hitting the dog. He may very well . . ,
have kicked the dog (for all you know).  I don't know what's worse. ., taking his anger out on the dog or his stupidity for not knowing how delicate a small dog like that is.

lustorlove
This is a difficult one. I am not qualified to tell anyone what to do. It is an excellent post. I wish you happiness, I found the Mr Right after having been divorced for years. Bless you.

Stay the way you are:
The world is a bed of roses if you can avoid the thorns. That's the trick.

Re: Love is a journey
she is like that with her friends, but she isnt as giving to her family. I have been on this journey now for 25 years and no Mr Right yet

But he must love dogs as a test of character. The character of a person’s important not only in stories but in real life. The attribute can be anything. In his case it’s how he handled an innocent animal love. Not cool.  BCA, Bill*s Roost

Love is a journey

No one finds Mr. Right over night. Love and true respect is something you have to work on and the only way you'll know it's real is through taking the time to get there. In other words, you have to make the journey. You'll find love if you make effort. Unfortunately, it won't find you if you're sitting at home on your couch ;-).

Your daughter has to learn to love herself, not how much other people need her. Helping someone is admirable, but, you know what they say; if you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he eats for the rest of his life. She can't keep babying her boyfriend and trying to change him little by little. He has to learn to value his life and the people in it and through this realization take the necessary steps to become a better man. She can set him on this path, but not do the journey for him.

She is enabling his behavior! If you believe there is a mister right, don't stop looking! It is when we stop, we are defeated! sam
