What an experience! But there is a lot of evidence that bullies are often very insecure people, and if you stand up to them firmly they can be easily deflated...

there will always be some kind of bullying unfortunately but yes it is so satisfying when they receive their just desserts! It is a shame though that there are people who are so insecure that they feel the need to exert themselves over others......a pity and a waste; many blessings and thanks - this is a 1st time read for me!

It is sad as some people do not feel good unless they can belittle others
Just because someone is a waitress doesn't mean they don't have brains or feelings. Look some great writers and poets as well as actors waited tables. There are many students who wait tables. What is wrong with it? It is a stepping stone job to other things.
I would have said,' Oh sweetheart, I am doing research on life experience and getting the lowdown on lowlifes like you first hand by observing them as I wait on tables.'I actually said that to someone once when I handed them the bill for their meal and they had been going on in a loud voice about how only losers and unintelligent people wait on tables.......
Some people need to get real and just cut the BS. Cooks, chefs, waiters and bellhops, they are some wonderful people out there doing those jobs and someone has to do them.

Your studies are most important! I am so tired of bullies! My nephew was attacked by one yesterday and ended up with three broken bones in his foot! Good-bye to his summer! So unnecessary! I just do not get people at times! sam
