I am sorry I missed your birthday. May I come in late and still make a wish for your having a wonderful year and blessings be yours.

Vogue, our lives run too parallel! I helped my brother whose son was attacked at school and ended up with a broken foot! I did not mention it was my birthday! When the day was done and the dust had settled they called to wish me a happy birthday! It was very rewarding to be there for them and not be concerned with a birthday. Happy Birthday once more though! sam

I've never heard of wearing garbanzo beans. LOL. That reminds me that I've been wanting to make some humus. I do have a necklace made by a Navajo Indian out of a combo of juniper berry seeds and Indian beads. It is very nice (and I never wear it, LOL). I'm not much of a jewelry person as far as wearing it. But I love looking at jewelry.

Happy belated birthday…
and what a wonderful way to spend part of the day. I’m sure your neighbour was extremely grateful for your assistance and your kindness. Jewelry out of beans and seeds… now that would be something I’d pick up in my travels. I appreciate folk-art.

I read about your birthday on Ariala's blog, and as it happens
I'm "a day late and a dollar short." So you had a gift on your birthday -- sharing with a friend, creating something useful and beautiful. I hope you have many, many more lovely days like that, along with candles and joy.

Vogue, What a wonderful birthday thought!
That will be a day to remember and how sweet of you to help your neighbor. You are a wonderful and interesting lady. Have a great day and may your kindness be returned.

Dear Vogue - you are such a good soul for doing this. Not exactly my style either (I like colorful semi-precious stones) but I'm sure she'll find some takers...Mal
