I'm not disappointed, just amused. The BN is a young adolescent.

Notes on search
Currently, search looks at the subject and content of posts. Comments are not searched; we hope to add that as an option in the future.
P.S. Google does not show any results for "majroj giraffe test". This seems correct, since Google appears to take at least one day to index new posts.

New posts
Actually, searching on that term does return the new post. Perhaps you did a search immediately after creating the post? It can take several minutes for search to index new posts.

I posted the title "majroj giraffe test"...no returns anywhere.
I am assuming that I misunderstand the way this works. However, GOOGLE returns scads of hits on "majroj", including one in Russian cyrillic letters.

To elucidate...yes.
There are newer posts with the character string "majroj", I posted one myself, not to mention comments. They don't seem to be appearing on the BN search utility. They do seem to appear on GOOGLE. I'll mess around with it.
However, it may be easier to test on a blogger with fewer than 14 pages of returns. Make one up?

Clarify please
Could you clarify what you mean? For instance, are there posts containing the word "majroj" that do not appear in the search results?
If so, we would appreciate your posting a link to the posts so we can identify the problem.

Well, when I enter the words "majroj test" and search "majroj"
that's about as high a relevance as you can get, no?
Your test's parameters may be met, but the function does not meet this consumer's needs. (Maybe I need better needs??
).
PS: Notice I avoided the term "user" in self-reference? I live with a computer professional and I know the word hurts.
Better than before, however. Thanks for the time and attention!

Search is working correctly
Based on a test search of words from new posts, search appears to be working correctly.
Please note that results are based on relevance, so you may have to scroll through the search results to find newer -- but less relevant -- posts.
