Re: sam444
Hi sam, thanks for the nice compliment. It is hard to drink while running, lugging that bottle a long gets old after a while.

It is a great article on running! I do a similar thing with my training on my bike! I drink a lot of water though! sam

Re: Merkie
Hi Merkie! Any exercise is good exercise. Studies have been done that prove that older folks that stay active live longer. Garden to your heart's delight.

Re: OTA
Hi Rhonda! Walking is great exercise, especially for us middle age and older people. It is also free except the walking shoes. Try to to get in a rhythm for doing it. Once you get in stride you will look forward to your special time.

Re: TAPS
hi TAPS walking is great exercise, remember to tighten the butt, and tummy muscles. There may come a day I have to do just walking, but thanks to smart running I have been running almost 20 yrs. and five marathons.

I ran some when I was in school, but now I prefer walking to exercise. I need to do more of it though... ~Peace, OTA

Good advice.  Running/jogging is now too high impact for my knees and hips, though I used to do it.  I hope that I can do outside walking for as long as I live.  I love the outdoors and everything about nature and weather.
