Yes thanks for all your kind thoughts
I was told Solosite is the best as they don't use calamine lotion any more as it dries the pustules out. I do know that ther Solosite is far more expensive. Two tubes cost me just over $10 when I can get the calamine lotion for about three or four dollars. They tell you that you should not use it as it dries the wounds out and that they should be kept moist. I dunno. So solosite it is. I had calamine lotion smeared from head to toe when I had chicken pox and countless others did and it did not do us any harm. Anyway, what do you do?

I will TAPS the poor kid is totally miserable and spent shabbes in bed or on the couch. Even when Ilanit and the two kids came over, Josh and Chloe the two culprits that he caught it from, he did not stir. We played a few games of scrabble, Matza Bingo and Lotto but he just slumbered on and that means he was very ill.

Oh my goodness...  have you tried calamine lotion?  I remember that was quite soothing when mine got them,  it relieves the itch and since they don't scratch the liquid inside the poxes does not spread as much and they do not get so many...  also if it getstoo bad ( the itch I mean) you can try putting ice ina ziplock bag and then put that ziplock bag inside another.  seal them ewll and place them on the itch... it should cool it right down without wetting them.  Stories and movies also help,  but watch out for yourself , even though you had them you can get chingles (sp?) which are no fun... Good luck :-)  and just remember it does not last that long :-)  xoxoxo for Nir and you

Poor little Nir.  Give him a kiss for this old lady that he doesn't even know.
When my four sons were little, I remember the seige of them having it one at a time.  They couldn't just all have it at the same time and get it over with--NO!  They had to spread it out over weeks and weeks and weeks, one at a time.  It seemed to go on for ever.  Then one of them started having nose bleeds all of the time.  The doctor said it was from having had chickenpox inside of his nose and leaving deep pits close to the blood vessels.
