Re:

sam!! thanks  i would have sent you pictures of him at work, but i was not allowed to take any in the galleries :(

wow!! if bhaskar is doomed to hell, and your religious stance is questionable, where does that leave me? i am a fan of both of you!!!!  bring it on, hell or whatever! let's make some song and dance happen there

Such marvelous writing indeed! I was totally captivated! I always took mine to museums! They weren't that appreciative, wish I could have watched your little boy, but now are very happy I subjected them to it! lol

Regarding your comment: I had made a comment at Bhaskar's blog recognizing our spiritual connection! Another blogger made a comment to the effect that Bhaskar was doomed to hell. At least that is how I understood it! I decided at that point I would not go through it again! Another blogger sent me an e-mail of one of my comments and thus questioned my religious stance, or that is how I understood it! I mean no ill will to anyone and am very accepting of all people! I will not be forced into choosing sides because I happen to share a particular belief! Not my character and I can't be compromised! On the other, it was generic in nature and the blogger who sent it must have an issue with the content! I do not know! But it is awful when we have to justify our comments which for the most part are opinion in nature! UGH! Have a great evening, I think, I am lost on the time! sam

Re: By the window sill
shobana, welcome here. i am so glad that you saw this as a write on indian art - it pretty much is, as the main attraction that day, did turn out to be the signature piece of a style totally conflicting Tate Britain's very stoic stand. thankyou for your compliment and encouragement

Re: By

naut! thankyou very much indeed! now it is my turn to be thrilled

and oh! don't come too close to terms with altermodernism - they might cook up a whole new movement by then- contempomodern ... ? do i see a whole new 'time' series erupting again?  lol.

Re: vogue
london is a lovely city, isn't it? as for museums, my son does like the v&a too. and if he enjoyed it as much as he did 'after' the science museum, he must have really liked it

What a wonderful description of your visit. Museums and art galleries are very much more child orientated nowadays and this is a wonderful investment for the future, culturally speaking. Children relate so honestly to exhibits and it's such a pleasure to witness this. Glad to read your blog again, welcome back. Thanks for visiting mine.

A beautiful write on Indian Art which goes back generations and is held in awe worldwide. And it is wonderful that your family enjoys and appreciates art as thus. Thank you for your comment on my blog.

I am thrilled by this piece! So well written! You made me see the spirit of that exhibition! You drew me in - I think I understand the kaleidoscopic, somewhat disturbing effect this show has - certainly quite different from the Tate I remember, lol. And altermodernism - I'm still trying to come to terms with post-modernism...

I commend you for taking your young child to such places of learning.  Young children have the capacity to enjoy "adult" art, music, dance, etc., and will be as interested or as uninterested as those who take them there.  Parents who love such things and such places will pass that along to their children.   I am amazed at what my sons (now in their 40s) remember with delight from their early childhood.

That brought fond memories back of my ten years spent in London. Talking about museums: my absolte favorite is the V&A. I'm sure your son would like that one too.
