Joe
Like you, I question the wisdom of the Blogit Authorities to intervene in this case. You might want to take a look at my post in 'Views'.

Hi Joe

I personally feel that Blogit is very good site for one to be interactive and hone one's skills in writing, but many a times intervention by the blogit police is unwarranted. "Godbot", the word, to my way of thinking, is more sarcastic than insulting or slanderish, and it should have been no sole  reason to deal with ZenMom in a manner which, to me was harsh and not in line with standards of courtesy. It's not a free-for-all site agreed, but at times I've seen even rational bloggers turn kiddish. Recently, someone attacked me (without proof) on my mail for being plagiaristic. When asked to let me know the passages I lifted, there was no answer. Hazel's leaving is, likewise, inexplicable and unfortunate. Why get exercized over something trivial? I have had my own share of rational fights in Religion and Spirituality blog where I was told to get out, but when my response and not reaction went as answers, the attackers simply chose to make themselves scarce.

I don't know enough really to say what's right or wrong. Ideally we would just avoid those who would stir up our emotions that much, but I'm not sure how realistic that is. Something as near and dear as religion is bound to set some people off and create reports and the like.

I think there's a bit more to it than portrayed in the aforementioned post......a pattern maybe?  Blogit clearly lists it's policies regarding interaction with other Bloggers........I avoid the religious section as much as possible because it is a no win situation......

Smileycons!  Good Morning Joe .. I agree that blocking unwanted comments and refraining from entering into futile discussions is the way rather then go to Blogit complaint department. Admittedly, I almost entered into the fray yesterday but realized my input would only cause me grief an there is enough of that going around for everyone. Anyway .. If someone can drag me into a confrontation then I prefer face to face.

I think it's unfair and it pisses me off.
