I understand how you feel. For many years I didn't go to church much and when I did I didn't want to. There were a lot of reasons. One big reason that most people would never have is the music was TOO LOUD. Especially in Mexico. That may seem like a dumb reason, but I have ear problems and it only made them worse.
We are living in the States and amazingly we started going to a church that I am so happy we found. The worship music is very nice and the people loving and kind and sincere.
Don't feel bad about staying home though. You can draw close to God at home and if you do meet one or two others you can fellowship with that would be wonderful.

The Lord does not reside within temples built by man! I think you are doing things the right way! I do my tithing similarly too! The Lord resides within you, what building could provide more, no matter what is inside! The people who have a problem with the way you worship need to revisit the concept themselves! Do not allow them to affect you in a negative way! sam
