The phrase you quoted does not appear anywhere in the Holy Bible if that is what you intended. Obama had the previous night celebrated a Hispanic Religious Holiday with much partying and fun, great. He has a position different than anybody else in the world. He represents all Americans. Religion is one of our greatest dividers. If he choose one to participate in he should choose all to some degree, at least not reject them. This is not about God it is about our country and it's citizens. Represent all Religions because we are a country for freedom of religion. Nor iis this about the skin on my nose, it is largely about the ignorance of some of our most educated citizens not knowing their own Constitution and 50 State Preambles. If you will re-read your comment I think you are too guilty of not living and letting live.

Hadn't you heard the one about...
"The Lord helps those who help themselves"? That he was not celebrating the day of prayer should not be held against him. It's a free country....and it doesn't mean that he is slighting God. Everyone worships in their own way....or doesn't. Whatever way anyone chooses is no skin off your nose. Why not live and let live?

My comment was simply a statement regarding the conflict between Pro-Life and Pro-Choice people and how it may have impacted attendance at the prayer services.

This is what I was referring to, Justi, and I'm sure it might have just been regional restrictions and had nothing to do with where you participate:

The Washington Post reveals that 'Dobson 'Disappointed' Obama Skipped Day of Prayer Ceremony'.

Evangelical author and radio host James Dobson said that he is "disappointed" that for the first time in nearly two decades there was no representative from the White House during the National Day of Prayer event. .....

The White House did not directly address Dobsons's comments.

However, a White House source with direct knowledge of the situation, said event organizers placed restrictions on potential speakers saying that they had to be "pro-life" and the only person officially invited from the administration was Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, a Republican.

Re: TAPS
I know fully well why God put Obama in there. You do too! Make no mistake, we are in the Book of Revelations now. For those of you who do not understand why God put Obama in the White House then read Revelations. Am I wrong Justi?

TAPS
I have participated in the National day of prayer for years. I have never seen or heard of any restrictions of any sort. I participate because I am a Christian and not because I am a Republican. I pray for those who are in office. That sounds like some of the stuff I have seen on MS-NBC. I may be wrong I am going to check with the organizer and if people are not allowed for any reason including pro-abortion I will complain. I am against abortion, I am not against who choose different in their own lives. They are God's to judge. He will forgive them if they confess their sin and stop it. If they had the abortion before the experience they got forgiveness, and after if they ask, God is faithful to forgive, but I do not understand anyone who is walking with God having an abortion. Maybe you know something I don't, but prayer is not about who belongs to what group or religion or social level. Our country is a country of FREEDOM OF RELIGION and our government should grant Christian as easily as others to their traditions. They need prayer and anyone who is praying for a law to be stopped or passed is not reading the same Bible I am or they are not reading it from the Holy Sprit's guidance. I do not like what is happening. God put Obama in there. I am more about telling people about the Good News which includes warning them against behavior that brigs judgement. We are in judgement now in this country and too many Christians are asleep at the wheel.

I prayed for patience
I said "God grant me patience and I want it right now.

Event organizers placed restrictions on potential National Day of Prayer speakers saying that they had to be "pro-life".  I would think that would be one of the reasons that the greater percent of D.C. attenders were republicans.

Perhaps it's better for the rest of us if some can't pray because they see themselves as a god.

Re:
Yes, it is very sad but I will not set by complacent and let this occur to our nation. In 2010 you will see a major change in congress, trust me you will. Obama is not a Christian, never has been never will be. I will never give a liberal "a chance" after being elected because I am always right about them, I know what they are all about and this is just one more bit of proof of the mistake this nation made on November 4, 2008! The people who voted for this worthless liberal should be slapped!

Don't Need A Day

I pray all the time during each day. It does not bother me that Obama is an atheist. That WILL be his problem later on. The Lord will see me through in every second of life. I do not want to say this but, I told everyone so, I knew what Obama was the first time I saw him. Liberals are atheist, pure and simple.

GREAT POST!

Justi, You, My friend are the "Real Deal!"
I agree with your post and I can't help but think that a day of reaping what is sown will buckle some knees and surprise some unbelieving minds. Blessings!
