I SO agree. Infuriating when you're in the middle of a film in the evening too and someone rings you to ask if you want one of their unnecessary products.

My answer to your problem is a loud black coach's whistle. The minute I hear that same voice of a marketer calling or whoever is disturbing me for nothing at an ungodly hour, I blow that whistle. I haven't had to use that whistle for a long time now. LOL
